Darbā autore pētīja laulības noslēgšanas tiesiskos aspektus, konstatējot tiesību aktos esošas nepilnības un piedāvājot to risinājumus. Darbam ir trīs nodaļas. Pirmā nodaļa ir veltīta laulības noslēgšanas formu izpratnei un prasībām laulības noslēgšanai. Autore izpētīja laulības noslēgšanas formas, proti, tās noslēgšanu dzimtsarakstu nodaļā un pie garīdznieka, kā arī, pētot laulības noslēgšanas šķēršļus, pievērsa uzmanību Kopdzīves likumprojekta nepieciešamībai. Otrajā nodaļā ir aplūkotas aktuālas problēmas pārrobežu laulību noslēgšanā. Pirmā apakšnodaļā secināts, ka ir jāgroza kolīziju normas, kas regulē pārrobežu laulības noslēgšanu, savukārt, otrajā izteikts priekšlikums, kā varētu efektīvāk veikt fiktīvu laulību apkarošanu. Trešajā nodaļā analizēta nepieciešamība un lietderība piešķirt zvērinātiem notāriem līdzās dzimtsarakstu nodaļām un garīdzniekiem tiesības noslēgt laulību. The author has analysed legal aspects of marriage registration, defining defects of law and offering the solutions. The work has three chapters. First chapter is about understanding of marriage forms and legal requirements for marriage registration. Author has studied the forms of marriage registration, namely, both at registry office and at religious confession. Also by analysing legal requirements for marriage registration, author has analysed a necessity of registered partnership. The second chapter outlines the challenges facing cross-border marriages. There is a conclusion that conflict of law, that regulate cross-border marriages, must be amended. Also author suggest option how the fictitious marriage can be prevented before it is registered. In the third chapter author analyses if there is necessity and usefulness in permitting notary to register marriage.
