Purpose of the Paper is to substantiate scientifically the endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms by flow diverters. Tasks of the Paper 1. summarize the results of existing theoretical data on the pathology, anamnesis and treatment of intracranial aneurysms where the flow diverters have been used; 2. summarize the PSKUS experience of flow diverters’ use in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms. 3. find the link between the intracranial stent implantation and the remodelation of parent’s blood vessel, decrease of aneurysm bag. Methods: there was made a retrospective research work for which the Permit of the Commission of Ethics was given by the Commission of Scientific Research Ethics of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine of the University of Latvia. In the research work there have been analysed 31 cases of intracranial aneurysms in the therapy of which the flow diverter stents have been applied. Data have been selected in the PKUS Diagnostic Radiology Institute from the Archives and from the pictures of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) in the Impax system. Diameters of aneurysms have been compared before the stent implantation, immediately after the stent implantation and during the control.
