Drukātie autentiskie materiāli vārdu krājuma apgūšanai lietišķo darījumu angļu valodas stundās vidusskolā

Abstract

Vidusskolas skolēniem ir grūti apgūt lietišķās angļu valodas vārdu krājumu sakarā ar darba pieredzes trūkumu. Tādēļ darba autore piedāvāja skolēniem mācīties lietišķo angļu valodu ar drukāto autentisko materiālu palīdzību. Par pētījuma metodi tika izvēlēts atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums. Intervija, novērošana, pārbaudes darbi un skolēnu atsauksmes tika izmantotas kā datu vākšanas metodes. Stundu novērošana atspoguļoja to, ka autentisko materiālu izmantošana vienā no gadījumiem nebija veiksmīga. Pēc vairākām stundām ar autentisko materiālu iesaisti skolēni pauda pozitīvo attieksmi pret to pielietošanu lietišķas angļu valodas apgūšanā. Ņemot vērā pētījuma rezultātus, diplomdarbs var kalpot kā vadlīnijas vidusskolā strādājošiem lietišķās angļu valodas skolotājiem.

Business English vocabulary is difficult for secondary school students’ comprehension due to the lack of work experience. Therefore students were offered to acquire vocabulary with the help of authentic printed materials. Case study was chosen as a research method. An interview, an observation, tests and students’ feedback were used to collect data. The research sample consisted of 28 Form 10 and 11 students. Observation of the lessons showed that the usage of authentic materials was not effective enough in one of the cases. After several lessons students expressed their positive attitude towards learning with the help of authentic printed materials. Considering the results, the Diploma Paper can be used as a guideline for secondary school business English teachers.
