Multivides materiāli vārdu krājuma apguves veicināšanai 5 angļu valodas nodarbību veidā

Abstract

Multivides materiāli ir viens no svarīgākajiem jauninājumiem izglītības tehnoloģiju jomā, kas palīdz uzlabot svešvalodu mācību vadīšanas un mācību apguves procesu un rezultātus. Pateicoties informācijas un komunikācijas tehnoloģiju (IKT) attīstībai, datorizētie valodu mācību vadīšanas un apguves materiāli kļūst arvien populārāki. Daudzi pētījumi un pētnieki ir analizējuši multimediju materiālu efektivitāti no dažādiem skatupunktiem. Tomēr multivides materiālu izmantošanasefektivitāteivārdu krājuma apguvei angļu valodas nodarbībāsnav tikusi pievērsta pietiekama uzmanība. Tāpēc šis pētījums tika veikts ar mērķi izpētīt, vai multivides materiāli atvieglo vārdu krājuma apguvi 5 angļu valodas nodarbību veidā. Empīriskā pētījuma ietvaros kā pētniecības metode tika izmantotafenomenoloģija. Pētījuma dati tika iegūti, izmantojot intervijas, aptaujas un novērojumus, kā arī datu vākšanas metodes. Pamatojoties uz pētījuma ietvaros iegūtajiemdatiem, var secināt, ka multivides materiāli ir iedarbīgivārdu krājuma apguves veicināšanā. Pētījuma ietvaros iegūtie dati apstiprināja, ka (a) multivides materiāli sniedza skolotājiem iespēju izmantot dažādus paņēmienus un pieejasvārdu krājuma mācību vadīšanā; (b) skolēni bija ieinteresētāki izmantot tos multivides materiālus, kas sastāv no teksta elementiem, audio, attēliem un video; (c) multivides materiāliem bija gan savas priekšrocības, gan trūkumi; (d) dažas skolas nebija pietiekami informējušas par nepieciešamību apmācīt skolotājusun iekārtu trūkumumultivides darbību īstenošanaiangļu valodas mācību stundās. Pamatojoties uz pētījuma rezultātiem, var secināt, ka multivides materiālu izmantošana angļu valodas mācību stundās veicina skolēnu vārdu krājuma apguvi.

Multimedia materials are one of the most important innovations in the field of educational technology to improve the process and outcomes of teaching and learning foreign languages. With the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), the computer-based materials for language teaching and learning become more and more popular. Many studies and researchers have examined multimedia material’s effectiveness from a number of perspectives. However, the effectiveness of multimedia materials for vocabulary acquisition in primary English lessons has not been paid sufficient attention to. Therefore, the present research was carried out with the aim to explore if multimedia materials facilitate vocabulary acquisition in form 5 English lessons. Phenomenology was used as a research method within the empirical research. The research data were obtained through interview, questionnaires and observation as the data collection methods. Based on the data obtained in the research framework, the conclusion can be drawn that multimedia materials are effective in facilitating vocabulary acquisition. The data obtained in the research framework confirmed that (a) multimedia materials provided the opportunity for the teacher to use a variety of techniques and approaches in teaching vocabulary; (b) students were more interested in multimedia materials which comprised the elements of text, audio, images and video; (c) multimedia had both advantages and disadvantages; (d) some schools had insufficient support reporting the necessity of teacher training and the lack of equipment to implement multimedia activities in English lessons. Based on the research outcomes, it can be concluded that the application of multimedia materials in English lessons facilitates students' vocabulary acquisition.
