Ekosistēmu pakalpojumu novērtējums Engures ekoreģionā

Ekosistēmu pakalpojumiem ir būtiska nozīme ne tikai politikas plānošanas dokumentos, bet arī ikdienas lēmumu pieņemšanā un procesu veikšanā. Darba ietvaros veikta starptautiskā ilgtermiņa ekoloģisko pētījumu tīkla modeļreģiona - Engures ekoreģiona ekosistēmu pakalpojumu izpēte. Izvēlēti parauglaukumi trijās pēc ģeoloģiskā vecuma un apsaimniekošanas režīma atšķirīgās ekoreģiona apakšzonās, ar tālizpētes palīdzību un teritoriju tiešu apsekošanu dabā novērtēta tām raksturīgā ekosistēmu pakalpojumu struktūra un veikta apakšzonu salīdzināšana. Paralēli veikta pielietotās metodikas novērtēšana un izstrādātas rekomendācijas turpmākai ekosistēmu pakalpojumu izpētei. Pētījums, mutiska referāta formā ir prezentēts Latvijas Universitātes 74. zinātniskajā konferencē 2016. gada 29. janvārī kā arī Eiropas LTER sanāksmē Rīgā 14. jūnijā. Ecosystem services are important not only in policy making documents but also in desicion making and daily activies. The aim of this research paper is to make feasibility study, of ecosystem services in Engure ecoregion – the model region of Long-Term socioecological research platform in Latvia by use of remote sensing data form CORINE LC and ortophoto combined with field studies. Randomly selected sample plots 1 by 1 km were chosen in three different sub-regions characterized by different geological age and land use structrue. The study showed that the methodological approach could be used to describe the structure of ecosystem services for large regions with varied land use and with certaain corrections could be recomended for assessment of the structure of ecosystem assessment in further studies Research results were presented on the 74. Scientific conference of University of Latvia on January 2016 and on Europe LTER meeting on June 14 in Riga.
