Mazo pilsētu attīstības iespējas Vidzemē: Raunas piemērs
Abstract
Maģistra darba „Mazo pilsētu attīstības iespējas Vidzemē: Raunas piemērs” mērķis ir izvērtēt Vidzemes mazo pilsētu sabiedrības struktūras un aktīvas sabiedrības daļas aktivitātes kā teritorijas attīstības potenciālu un tālākas tā atraisīšanas iespējas un lomu pilsētas/vietas attīstībā, kā arī izstrādāt priekšlikumus Vidzemes mazo pilsētu atjaunotnei un attīstībai. Darba aktualitāti nosaka Latvijas politikā dominējošais ekonomiskais skatījums un “resursu centrēšanas” pieeja. Maģistra darba ietvaros apzināts teorētiskais ietvars par mazo pilsētu veidošanās procesu Latvijā, mērogu, attīstības nosacījumiem un pieeju iespēju novērtēšanai. Veikta Raunas un Smiltenes dzīves telpas analīze, iedzīvotāju anketēšana, izvērtētiun raksturoti Raunas un Smiltenes dzīvestelpas veidošanās nosacījumi. Darba noslēgumā sagatavoti priekšlikumi mazo pilsētu attīstībai Vidzemē The purpose of the master's thesis "Town development opportunities in Vidzeme: the case of Rauna" is to assess the structure of society and its activities as a potential for territorial development in Vidzeme’s towns. Thesis further considers the opportunities for unleashing of such potential and its role in the development of place or town. Topicality of the thesis is determined by the present dominance of both the economic and "centralization of resources" approach in Latvian territorial development planning policy. The theoretical framework of town formation processes and development conditions in Latvia and different approaches for its evaluation has been reviewed within the theses. For the purpose of developing evaluation approaches, analyses of the living space of Rauna and Smiltene has been carried out, resident surveys have been conducted, and the conditions of living space formation in Rauna and Smiltene has been analysed and described. Further recommendations for development and regeneration of Vidzeme’s towns has been proposed as a result of the Master Thesis.
