Zusammenfassung
Ceļošana ir kļuvusi pieejamāka, kas ir radījis saistītu biznesa procesu attīstību. Tā rezultātā tiešsaistes ceļojumu emuāri kļūst aizvien populārāki par ierasto ceļvedi. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt vietējo iedzīvotāju rakstītus ceļojumu emuārus kā žanru un noteikt, vai tiem ir valdoša žanra struktūra un komunikatīvais mērķis, jo šis ceļojumu emuāru veids nav ticis plaši pētīts iepriekš. Tika veikta izvēlētu ceļojumu emuāru žanra analīze no mājaslapām Spotted by Locals un Like a Local Guide, izmantojot speciāla lietojuma angļu valodas žanru skolas skatījumu. Pētījuma rezultāti ļauj autoram atklāt, ka ceļojumu emuāriem nav vispārpieņemtas žanra makro-struktūras un to galvenā valodas metafunkcija ir informatīva. Travelling has become more affordable, which, in its turn, has resulted in the development of adjacent business processes; thus, online travel blogs are becoming more popular than the classic guidebook. The present research aims to explore travel blogs written by locals as a genre and determine if they possess a prevailing generic structure and communicative purpose, since this type of travel blogs has not been extensively investigated before. Genre analysis of the selected travel blogs posts from the websites Spotted by Locals and Like a Local Guide was conducted according to the English for Specific Purposes Genre School. The results of the research allow the author to discover that travel blogs do not have a conventionalised generic macro-structure and their primary language function is transactional.
