Bakalaura darbā “Pārmaiņas Japānas arhitektūrā Meidži periodā” tiek aprakstīta Japānas vesternizācijas radītā arhitektūras reformācija no 1868. gada līdz 1912. gadam. Darba mērķis ir analizēt un aprakstīt pārmaiņas, kas norit Meidži perioda Japānā, rietumu arhitektu darbības un arhitektūras reformācijas rezultātā. Lai izpildītu izvirzīto mērķi darbā ir apskatīti vairāki nozīmīgi Meidži perioda arhitektūras projekti, analizējot šo projektu ietekmi uz turpmāko arhitektūras attīstību. Bakalaura darbā izmantotā literatūra ietver gan publikācijas, kas ir vecākas par 30 gadiem, gan pēdējo 5-10 gadu publicēti darbi. Vairāku gadu desmitu nezūdošā interese par šo tēmu liecina par tās aktualitāti mūsdienās. Bachelor’s thesis “Changes in Japan’s Architecture in Meiji period” examines the architectural evolution in Japan caused by movement of rapid westernization during Meiji period (1868-1912). The thesis aims to analyze the reformation process that Japan’s architecture underwent during Meiji period. The aim of the thesis is achieved by researching some architecture projects of Meiji period, analyzing the significance of these projects on following evolution of architecture. The topicality of this subject is based on the avaliable research that has been created during the last 30 years and the fact that during this time the research into this topic has not declined.
