Tulkošanas stratēģijas un problēmu risinājumi Žila Legardinjē romānā "Pilnīgs kukū!"

Abstract

Maģistra darbs ir pētījums par tulkošanas teorētiskiem un praktiskiem aspektiem, un tulkošanas problēmām franču rakstnieka Žila Legardinjē (Gilles Legardinier) romānā “Pilnīgs kukū!” (Complètement cramé!), kuru tulkojusi maģistra darba autore. Maģistra darbs sastāv no divām daļām. Pirmajā daļā apskatīta tulkošanas teorija – teksta veidi, stratēģijas, skoposa teorija. Tulkošana tiek uzskatīta par starpkultūru saziņu, un tā ir izaicinājums tulkotājam, kuram vienas kultūras iezīmes jāpārnes citā kultūrā, nezaudējot daiļdarba autora domu, tādēļ apskatīta arī tulkotāja loma. Otrajā daļā analizētas tulkošanas problēmas, izmantojot franču valodnieku Žana Pola Vinē un Žana Darbelnē (Jean-Paul Vinay et Jean Darbelnet) septiņas tulkošanas tehnikas. Ņemot vērā romānā izmantotu stilu, apskatīts arī sarunvalodas stils latviešu valodā. Apkopojot tulkošanas teoriju un analizējot problēmas, kas radās tulkošanas procesā, tika secināts, ka, tulkojot daiļliteratūru, teorētiskās zināšanas ir svarīgas, un ka visas tulkošanas problēmas nav iespējams pilnībā atrisināt ar vienas teorijas pielietojumu jeb konkrētām tulkošanas tehnikām.

The present Master Thesis is the study of theoretical and practical aspects of translation and the analysis of the problems encountered in translation of the novel “Complètement cramé!” by French writer Gilles Legardinier. The novel is translated by the author of this paper. The master paper consists of two parts. The first part deals with the theory of translation − text types, strategies skopos theory. Since the translation is considered intercultural communication, translation is regarded as a challenge for the translator whose task is to transfer one cultural peculiarity into other culture without losing the aim and thoughts of the author. The second part focuses on the analysis of problems in translation based on seven translation techniques brought by French linguists Jean-Paul Vinay and Jean Darbelnet. A conversation style used in novel was also analyzed. Having summarized the theory of translation and analysis of the problems that arose during the translation process, it was concluded that translating literature, theoretical background is important and the translation problems can be partly solved by one theory or the use of specific translation techniques.
