Eponīmu attīstība medicīnas terminoloģijā

Šajā bakalaura darbā aplūkots eponīmu lietojums medicīnas terminoloģijā. Darba mērķis bija izpētīt eponīmu tipus un to attīstību laika gaitā. Teorētiskā daļa veido pamatu pētījumam un sniedz informāciju par terminoloģijas attīstību vispār, it īpaši par medicīnas terminoloģiju, populārākajiem tās terminu darināšanas veidiem, kā arī par eponīmiem un to iedalījumu. Pētījums aptver simts nejauši izraudzītus terminus no trim dažādām medicīnas eponīmu vārdnīcām un to analīzi, kā arī informāciju par šo terminu izcelsmi un darināšanas metodi. Par pētījuma metodēm tika izraudzītas teorētisko resursu analīze un jauktā tipa metode. Pētījumā tika atklāts, ka visbiežāk sastopamais eponīmu tips medicīnas terminoloģijā ir darināts tā atklājēja vārdā. The Bachelor Thesis deals with eponyms and their impact on medical terminology. The goal of this research is to study the types and the evolution of eponyms in medical terminology in the course of time. The theoretical part of the research provides background information on the development of terminology, history of medicine, formation of terms and eponyms. The research imbraces one hundred randomly selected medical eponyms and a summary analysis of information of origin and formation of medical eponyms gathered from three different medical eponym dictionaries. Theoretical analysis and explanatory sequential mixed methods were selected for the present research. During the research it was investigated that the most common type of eponym used in medical terminology is formed after the discoverer of the condition.
