Colorectal cancer is the third most common malignant tumor in Latvian. Screening for colorectal cancer has been introduced in Latvia since 2009, but the response of the population is low - in 2015 - 10.9%. Latvian colorectal cancer screening is opportunistic - organized invites for screening are not sent out. For colorectal cancer screening program to be cost effective, it is essential to choose the most appropriate screening method. The aim of te master's paper is to calculate the cost-effectiveness of colorectal cancer screening for population aged 50 to 74 years, using 3 different screening tests: occult blood test gFOBT, immunochemical tests FOB Gold and OC Sensor, in each case realizing 4 different screening scenarios. Based on the calculations, cost-effective screening scenario is FOB Gold, in a variant, where people dont recieve any informationa letter first, but a reminder letter is sent aftervards. Keywords: cost-effectiveness, colorectal cancer, populution based screening.
