Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt apstākļa vārdu lietojumu ES fondu finansētos projektu pārskatos. Šis darbs ir aktuāls angļu valodas runātajiem, kas ir iesaistīti CORDIS failu sastādīšanā un rediģēšanā. Literatūras pārskats izlūko apstākļa vārdu un apstākļa palīgteikuma teoriju, kā arī diskursa, diskursa analīzes un institucionālās valodas koncepcijas. Kas attiecas uz metodoloģiju, pētījumam ir kvalitatīvs raksturs ar kvantitatīviem elementiem. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek veikts sekundāro avotu pārskats. Empīriskajā daļā tiek pielietotas diskursa un frekvences analīzes metodes. Tā kā projektu pārskatos jāiekļauj dažadu aktivitāšu sīki apraksti, visbiežāk sastopamā apstākļa vārdu semantiskā nozīme ir veida apraksts. The present thesis aims to analyse the use of adverbs in the EU-funded project reports. This research is topical to both native and non-native English language speakers, who compose and edit the CORDIS files or are otherwise related to the project reports documents. The literature review explores the notions of adverb and adverbial, as well as the concepts of discourse, discourse analysis and institutional language. As regards the methodology, the research is of qualitative nature with qualitative elements. In the theoretical part, the review of secondary sources is performed. For the empirical part, discourse analysis and frequency analysis methods are used. As it is significant to show the ways in which various actions are performed when presenting the results of different projects, the adverbs of manner occur most frequently in project reports.
