Elektronisko vārdnīcu lietojumprogrammu viedtālruņos izmantošana studiju procesā

Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt elektronisko vārdnīcu lietotnes un kā to izmantošana var ietekmēt studiju procesu. Mērķa sasniegšanai tika izvēlētas divas pētījuma metodes – kontentanalīze un verbālais protokols. Ar kontentanalīzes palīdzību, tika noskaidrots vārdnīcu lietotņu: Google Translate, Merriam – Webster Dictionary, iTranslate, Oxford Advanced Learner Dictionary, Saruna Tulkotājs izmantošanas iespējas un to funkcijas. Otrajā pētījuma metodē tika pētīta šo lietojumprogrammu lietojamība, piedaloties 3 studentiem. Pētījuma gaitā tika konstatēts, ka lietotnes ir ātrāks, ērtāks veids, kā iztulkot vārdu vai atrast definīciju. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti ļāva noskaidrot vārdnīcu lietotņu dažādo funkciju un iespēju lietojamību. The aim of this study was to investigate the electronic dictionary applications and how their use may affect the study process. To achieve the goal of this study, two research methods were selected – content analysis and verbal protocol. Using content analysis in Google Translate, Merriam – Webster Dictionary, iTranslate, Oxford Advanced Learner Dictionary, Saruna Tulkotājs - the functions and usage of dictionary applications were found. Using the second research method, three students tested the usability of the listed dictionary applications. The research showed that the examined applications are more useful for translating words and finding definitions comparing to the printed dictionaries. Results of this research paper helped to get acquainted with the usability of electronic dictionary applications.
