Mūzika ir viens no pirmatnējiem komunikācijas veidiem cilvēku starpā. Mūsdienās par nozīmīgu kristīgās dziedāšanas un muzicēšanas formu izveidojies gospels. Lai arī gospelmūzikas saknes meklējamas Amerikas Savienotu Valstu konkrēta laikaposma politiskajā un kultūrvidē, tai piemīt saturs un izteiksmes līdzekļi, kas spēj uzrunāt mūsdienu cilvēku visā pasaulē, arī Latvijā. Savā bakalaura darbā “Gospelmūzikas tradīcija Latvijā” sniedzu ieskatu par mūzikas saistību ar teoloģiju, mūzikas praktizēšanu Bībelē, gospelmūzikas izcelšanos un attīstību līdz mūsdienām, kā arī gospelmūzikas ienākšanu un tās izpausmes gospelkoros Latvijā. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt gospelmūzikas ienākšanu un praksi Latvijā līdz šim brīdim. Music is one of the primeval forms of communication between people. Today, an important Christian singing and musical form has developed called gospel. Athough gospel music is rooted in the United States of America at certain time period in the political and cultural environment, it has the content and means of expression, which are able to speak to modern people all over the world, including Latvia. In Bachelor Paper""Gospel music traditions in Latvia" is given insight into the music relationship with theology, music practice in the Bible, gospel music origins and development to the present day, and gospel music entery and its manifestations in Latvia. The aim of this thesis is study the gospel music entery and practice in Latvia until now.
