The goal of the thesis is the contextualised visualisation of the Sun song images (Morning and Evening tree) and their printing on textiles. To reach the goal the theories on the mentioned songs, the perception of colours and lines and printing technigues on textiles have been considered. These theories have been used to perform the comparative analyis of the Sun song visualition used to decorate the Latvian national costumes and various contemporary items, e.g., dresses and accessories. Then the outline drawings of the Sun tree images embeded in the context of the Sun songs were created and printed on T-shirts. The obtained results imply that the contextualised approach to the Sun song images opens wide and so far unexploited possibilities for their visualisation on textiles.
