Paaugas un pameža attīstība priežu mežu ekosistēmās Rīgas mežaparkos

Maģistra darba mērķis ir prognozēt iespējamo priežu mežu ekosistēmu attīstību Rīgas pilsētas meža parkos un izstrādāt risinājumus priežu ekosistēmu saglabāšanai. Maģistra darba ietvaros tika veikta Biķernieku, Juglas un Šmerļa meža parku pameža, paaugas un nedzīvās zemsegas inventarizācija. Tika vērtēta pameža un paaugas biezība, iegūtie rezultāti attēloti kartēs, kurās parādītas valdošās sugas un attiecīgais biezums katrā nogabala vietā. Pētījumā mērīts nedzīvās zemsegas biezums, lai meklētu sakarību starp pamežu, paaugu, nobiru slāni un parastās priedes (Pinus sylvestris L.) atjaunošanās spēju. Tika apskatītas un analizētas pilsētu mežu apsaimniekošanas metodes un veiktās saimniecības darbības, sniedzot savus ieteikumus pilsētu mežu apsaimniekošanā. The aim of the Master’s thesis is to forecast potential evolution of forest ecosystems in urban forest parks in Riga and the develop solutions targeted at preservation of Scot’s pine forest ecosystems. The author of the thesis has carried out the inventory of shrubs, understorey and litter layer in Biķernieki, Jugla and Šmerlis forest parks in Riga. The objectve was to evaluate the density of shrubs and understorey. The obtained results are presented on maps featuring the dominant species and their respective thickness in each plot. The study is focussing on measuring layer the thickness of litter to find out the relationship between the undergrowth, understorey, litter and Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) regeneration capacity. The study contains the overview and analysis of urban forest management practices providing recommendations to improve urban forest management.
