Darbā veiktās izpētes būtība ir raksturot lex mercatoria saturu un avotus mūsdienās, apskatot gan valstu nacionālās, gan starptautiskās tiesības, valsts tiesu un starptautisko šķīrējtiesu praksi, kā arī tiesību zinātnieku paustās atziņas. Darba otrajā daļā tiek analizēta lex mercatoria faktiskā piemērošana un ieguvumi no tā piemērošanas. Darbā ir sniegts autora viedoklis par attiecīgo normu un viedokļu iztulkošanu, un piemērošanu. Darbā īsi ir apskatīta mūsdienu lex mercatoria pirmsākumi XX.gadsimtā. Darbā galvenokārt izmantoti un analizēti materiāli par darba tēmu, kas tapuši pēc 2000.gada. Darbā ir sniegta detalizēta lex mercatoria piemērošanas analīze, apskatot lex mercatoria piemērošanas ieguvumus un trūkumus, kā arī sniegti autora secinājumi un ierosinājumi pamatojoties uz darbā veikto pētījumu. The essence of the research, carried out in the work, is to characterize modern sources and content of lex mercatoria, with consideration of both national and international rights of states, of practice of state courts and international arbitration courts, and of conclusions drawn by legal scholars. The actual application of lex mercatoria and advantages of its application have been analyzed in the second part of the work. The author's point of view on interpretation and application of the relevant norms and opinions has been presented in the work. The work briefly examines the origins of modern lex mercatoria in the 20th century. There have mainly been used and analyzed in the work, materials on the theme of the work, created after 2000. The paper presents a detailed analysis of the application of lex mercatoria, with consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of lex mercatoria, and also presents conclusions and suggestions of the author, based on the research carried out in the work.
