Tēma: Transatlantiskās tirdzniecības un investīciju partnerības (TTIP) līguma apturēšana. Demokrātu un Republikāņu politisko partiju nostādņu analīze. Lai arī agrāk Republikāņu politiskā partija atbalstīja brīvo tirdzniecību, Donalds Tramps, kļūstot par ASV prezidentu, ir apturējis brīvās tirdzniecības līgumus starp ASV un citām partnervalstīm. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot iemeslu TTIP līguma apturēšanai no ASV puses, par teorētisko pamatu ņemot politisko partiju ideoloģiskās pārkārtošanās teoriju. Rezultāts – politisko partiju ideoloģiskās pārkārtošanās rezultātā ASV Republikāņu politiskā partija ir kļuvusi par partiju, kas neatbalsta brīvo tirdzniecību. Subject: Termination of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Analysis of changes in the policies of Democratic and Republican Political Parties. The Republican political party supported free trade in the past, but after becoming the U.S. president, Donald Trump has terminated free trade agreements between the U.S. and other partner countries. The aim of this thesis is to find out the reason for TTIP agreement`s termination, by using the theoretical basis of political party realignment theory. The result – As a consequence of the political party realignment, Republican political party has shifted its ideology and has became the anti-trade party.
