Lietotājiem saistošas tīmekļvietnes mūsdienās tiek saistītas ar lietotājcentrētu izstrādes pieeju. Lai gan tā sen atzīta par labākās prakses piemēru, ne vienmēr to iespējams īstenot, iemesli ir dažādi - nepietiekamas zināšanas, resursi vai pieredzes trūkums. Lietotāju profilu izveide ir veids, kā lietotājcentrētas izstrādes pieejā tiek apkopoti izpētes dati. Darba mērķi ir - izstrādāt Latvijas Universitātes tīmekļvietnes lietotāju profilus un novērtēt metodes piemērotību akadēmiskas institūcijas tīmekļvietnes lietotāju izpētes rezultātu apkopošanā. Darba gaitā ar divu kvalitatīvo pētniecības metožu palīdzību izveidoti piecu potenciālo tīmekļvietnes lietotāju profili un secināts, ka šāda veida izpētes datu apkopošana var būt noderīga akadēmisko institūciju kontekstā. User-friendly websites nowadays are most often based on user-centered design approach. It is known to be the best practice, but not always it is possible to use it in the development process. Lack of knowledge, practice or resources are the most common obstacles that may prevent it. User profile (persona) creation is a way how to present user research data in order to be used in the user-centered design process. The aim of this research is to create user profiles of University of Latvia website and to evaluate if the method is suitable for academic institution’s purposes. Two qualitative research methods were used in the user research process and as a result five profiles were created. The conclusion is that the user profile creation might be useful for academic institution’s purposes.
