4-6 gadus vecu bērnu izziņas darbības sekmēšana dabas vērojumos

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs izstrādāts par tēmu „4-6 gadus vecu bērnu izziņas darbības sekmēšana dabas vērojumos”. Pētījuma mērķis ir teorētiski pētīt un empīriski izzināt 4-6 gadus vecu bērnu izziņas darbības sekmēšanas iespējas dabas vērojumos. Pētījuma problēmu rada fakts, ka pilsētvidē ir ierobežotas iespējas tuvināt bērnus dabai, tādēļ skolotāji nereti izmantoti vienus un tos pašus paņēmienus, kā rezultātā bērni sāk zaudēt interesi un netiek panākts vēlamais efekts. Lai arī latviešu un cittautu pedagoģijā un metodikā ir uzklāts pietiekami bagāts materiālu klāsts, kā organizēt dabas vērojumus izziņas darbības aktivizēšanai, tomēr šie materiāli nav sistematizēti, kas uzskatāms par nozīmīgu trūkumu. Tieši minētie apstākļi pamatoja dotā pētījuma tēmas izvēli un tās aktualitāti. Pētījums sastāv no divām daļām – teorētiskās un empīriskās. Teorētiskajā daļā pētīta izziņas darbības attīstība un izziņas aktivitātes sekmēšana 4-6 gadus veciem bērniem, pašu uzmanību veltot dabas nozīmei pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu attīstībā un dabas vērojumu un bērnu praktiskās darbības organizēšanai pirmsskolas pedagoģiskajā procesā. Empīriskā pētījuma ietvaros ir izstrādāta un realizēta dabas vērojumu programma vienam mācību gadam (no septembra līdz maijam), analizējot, kā grupas bērnu izziņas aktivitātes izmaiņas pēc tādiem kritērijiem kā izziņas intereses izpausmes dabas vērojumos, verbālā aktivitāte (jautājumu aktīva uzdošana), uzmanība (spēja pamanīt detaļas), spēja spriest un pamatot, kā arī aktīva dalība dažādos eksperimentos saistībā. Pētījumā atspoguļotas bērnu izziņas aktivitātes izmaiņas mācību gada garumā – no sākuma, kad bērni pamatā ir 4-5 gadus veci, līdz beigām, kad daži no bērniem sasnieguši jau 6 gadu vecumu. Tādējādi pētījuma ietvaros izstrādātā programma ir piemērota realizēšanai gan vidējā, gan arī vecākajā pirmsskolas vecumā. Mērķtiecīgi organizētais darbs ļāva sasniegt ļoti labus rezultātus un izteiktu pozitīvu dinamiku visiem bērniem, kas ļāva apstiprināt hipotēzi – Ja pedagogs sistemātiski organizē dabas vērojumus, ievērojot bērnu vecumposma un individuālās vajadzības, un saista tos ar dažādiem bērnu aktīvās darbības veidiem, tad 4-6 gadus vecu bērnu izziņas aktivitāte veiksmīgi attīstīsies. The topic of this Bachelor Thesis is “Promotion of cognitive activity in 4-6 year-old children in nature observations”. The purpose of the research is the theoretical study and empirical cognition of the possibilities of promoting cognitive activity in 4-6 year-old children in nature observations. The research problem is the fact that urban environment provides limited opportunities for making children closer to the nature, therefore, teachers frequently use the same techniques resulting in loss of interest in children and failure to achieve the desirable effect. Although Latvian and foreign pedagogy and methodology provide a rich selection of materials on how to organise nature observations in order to stimulate the cognitive activity, these materials, however, are not systematised which is considered to be a serious drawback. These are these conditions justifying the choice and topicality of the research. The research consists of two sections – theoretical and empirical. The theoretical section delves into the development of cognitive activity and promoting cognitive activity in 4-6 year-old children, particularly focusing on the significance of nature in the development of preschool age children and organisation of nature observations, as well as practical activities for children in the preschool pedagogic process. As a part of empirical research, a programme of nature observations for one school year (from September to May) was developed and implemented analysing changes in cognitive activity of children based on criteria such as manifestations of cognitive interest in nature observations, verbal activity (active questioning), attention (ability to notice details), ability to judge and substantiate, as well as active participation in different related experiments. The research reflects changes in cognitive activity of children throughout the school year – from the beginning when children generally are 4-5 years old to the end when some of the children have reached the age of 6. Thus, the programme developed within the research is suitable for implementation for middle and senior preschool age. The work was organised in a targeted way allowing to get good results and create distinctively positive dynamics in all children which further allowed to confirm the hypothesis: If a teacher organises nature observations systematically and according to the age and individual needs of the children and links them to different types of active work of children, the cognitive activity of 4-6 year-old children will develop successfully.Key words: nature observations, cognition, cognitive activity, preschool age children.
