Humoram ir liela nozīme ikdienas komunikācijā. Ņemot vērā to, ka cilvēki lielu daļu no dzīves pavada darbavietās, autors nolēma pievērst uzmanību humora lomai starpkultūru uzņēmējdarbības saziņā. Tāpēc šī pētnieciskā darba autors nolēma uzsvērt humora izmantošanu starpkultūru uzņēmējdarbības saziņas kontekstā, veicot joku analīzi no lingvistikas un socioloģijas skatpunktiem General Theory of Verbal Humor un Superiority/Disparagement teoriju ietvaros. Par pētniecības metodēm tika izmantoti gadījuma analīze, kā arī starpkultūru uzņēmējdarbības diskursa analīze. Par šī darba korpusu tika izvēlēti 12 joki no starpkultūru uzņēmējdarbības konteksta. Noslēgumā tika pierādīts, ka visi joki ietvēra mērķa komponentu, tādējādi pierādot Superiority/Disparagement teorijas atbilstību. Taking into account that people spend a lot of their time at work, the role of humour in intercultural business communication had to be examined. Therefore, the author of this research paper has put an emphasis on the use of humour within the context of intercultural business communication. In this paper, the author focuses on the analysis of the jokes from linguistic and social perspectives; in particular, the paper investigates the humour within the frameworks of General Theory of Verbal Humor and Superiority/Disparagement theory. The research method is case study, as well as discourse analysis of the jokes from intercultural business context. For the corpus of the paper, 12 jokes from intercultural business context were selected. In conclusion, it was proven that all jokes had a target component, thus they laughed at certain people and thus belonged with Superiority/Disparagement theory.
