This paper focuses on the content analysis of ‘Lietišķās valodniecības centrs’ (LVC) subsite of the Faculty of Humanities. The goal of the paper is to determine semantic cores of the LVC website and to check the relevance of the website’s key-words and key-collection in Google search engine. The analysis was performed with the help of modern Google tools and manual detection of key-words and key-collocations in the website’s pages. This research highlights the importance of semantic cores preparation before the development of the website and the relevance (Google recognition) of key-words and key-collocations. The empirical research was conducted by qualitative and quantitative research methods. The findings suggest that semantic cores of the LVC website do not fully meet the main target of the website (the provision of language training). Some of the identified semantic cores appear to be irrelevant today and therefore potential attendees cannot find the website on the first search page in Google.
