The aim of this bachelor's work was to explore a relationship between self-esteem and father’s involvement in youth from complete and incomplete families. Following questions were raised up: are there differences between the self-esteem of young people from complete and incomplete families; whether there is a link between the self-esteem and father involvement in young people from complete and incomplete families. The study was used in Latvia adapted questionnaires: questionnaire of Father's Presence and Rosenberg self-esteem questionnaire. The respondent's demographic data was also received. This study involved 71 young people aged 18 to 25 years. The results indicate that young people from complete families have a more positive attitude towards their father, more positively appreciated the father's involvement and physical contact with their father. For young people from complete families, self-esteem rates are positively correlated with physical contact with the father and the perception of the father's need.
