Tīmekļa projekti vidusskolēnu caurviju prasmju attīstībai

Abstract

Izglītības sistēmai ir noteicoša loma tādu zināšanu, kompetenču un dzīves uztveres formēšanā, kas ir pamats 21. gadsimta cilvēka veiksmīgās dzīves un karjeras panākumiem. Pasaule nemitīgi mainās, un, lai saglabātu aktualitāti, izglītībai ir jāattīstās un jāpielāgojas mūsdienīgai videi, nodrošinot jēgpilnu mācību procesu. Tomēr Latvijas izglītības sistēma ne vienmēr spēj sniegt skolēniem tādu kompetenču klāstu, kas atbilstu reālās dzīves prasībām 21. gadsimtā. Mūsdienās jaunatnei nepieciešams labi pārvaldīt caurviju prasmes, kas savukārt veicinātu spējas pielāgoties, gūt panākumus problēmu risināšanā mainīgajā pasaulē. Jaunā izglītojamo paaudze tiecas pēc aktīvas iesaistīšanās mācību procesā, skolēniem ir ievērojama vēlme apgūt tādas iemaņas, kas sasaistītu tradicionālās zināšanas ar aktīvu izpēti un izzināšanu kooperējoties un dibinot sadarbības tiklus. Līdz ar to, projekti un izpētes uzdevumi interneta vidē var kļūt par piemērotu instrumentu izglītības paradigmas maiņai, kas nodrošinātu pāreju uz modernu uz kompetencēm balstītu izglītības programmu. Šajā pētījumā analizēti veidi un izglītošanas formas, kas ļautu angļu valodas mācībās integrēt tīmekļa projektus un uzdevumus (web-based projects) ar mērķi uzlabot studentu caurviju prasmes atbilstoši 21. gadsimta prasībām. Pētījuma ietvaros izstrādātie tīmekļa projekti (WebQuests) ir efektīvs instruments izglītošanas procesa pieskaņošanai tām prasībām, ar kurām studenti sastopas reālās dzīves apstākļos. Pētījuma rezultātā tapa virkne vadlīniju un rekomendāciju inovatīvu mācību paņēmienu ieviešanai un izmantošanai skolā.

The system of education is one of the key actors in shaping knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for students to live and work in the 21st century. The world is rapidly changing, therefore, these changes have to be considered within all the education cycles. However, the education system in Latvia does not always succeed in equipping students with the knowledge they can transfer and use in real-life context to meet the requirements of the 21st century. The modern realities substantiate the necessity for young people to possess transversal skills being able to adjust to the rapidly changing world facing and resolving challenges in diverse contexts. The new generation of learners strives to be actively involved in the learning process and acquire skills which link traditional knowledge with research and inquiry-based active learning through collaboration and networking. Therefore, inquiry based web-based projects can become the instrument for paradigm change to reinforce the shift towards more relevant competency-based education programmes. The study analyses the ways and forms for integrating web-based projects in foreign language teaching to develop students’ transversal skills within the 21st century perspective. WebQuests developed within the research framework is an effective tool to address the necessity to connect the learning process to real life. The study provides selected guidelines and recommendations for the application of innovative learning technologies in school.
