The master's thesis has developed guidelines for planning dendrologically valuable parks. Whithin this thesis 15 dendrologically valuable parks are examined and six protected dendrologically valuable parks are analyzed in detail. The research indicates many of the dendrologically valuable parks currently are not managed, do not have adequate dendrological value and no longer qualify as a protected areas. The research done within the thesis, including surveying parks in the nature, concludes with two proposals of planning and development directions for dendrologically valuable parks making the common system as understandable as possible. Keywords: dendrological plantations, man-made dendrologically valuable parks, guidelines for the development of dendrologically valuable parks.
