Pasaulē arvien aktuālāka kļūst sabiedrības līdzdalība attīstības plānošanas procesos, tostarp Latvijā. Ir virkne pašvaldību, kas ar ierobežotiem resursiem panākušas to, ko daļa Pierīgas nav sasnieguši nezināšanas, nevēlēšanās dēļ. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izvērtēt sabiedrības līdzdalības potenciālu un izstrādāt rekomendācijas Babītes novada jauniešu iesaistei attīstības plānošanas procesos. Maģistra darba ietvaros aplūkots sabiedrības, tostarp jauniešu, iesaistes teorētiskais aspekts, identificēts Babītes novada telpiskais raksturojums un analizēta gan Latvijas, gan starptautiskā pieredze attīstības plānošanas praksē. Maģistra darbs sastāv no ievada, sešām nodaļām, secinājumiem, izmantotās literatūras saraksta un diviem pielikumiem. Pamatteksts 73 lapaspuses. Iekļauti 22 attēli, 3 tabulas. Public participation in development planning processes, including in Latvia, is becoming more and more urgent in the world. There are several municipalities that despite limited resources have achieved what part of the city of Pieriga has not reached because of ignorance, unwillingness. The aim of the master’s thesis is to evaluate the potential of public participation and to develop recommendations for the involvement of young people in development planning processes in the Babite region. In the framework of the master's thesis, the theoretical aspect of the involvement of the society, including young people, is discussed, the spatial characterization of the Babites region is identified and both Latvian and international experience in development planning practice are analyzed. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, six chapters, conclusions, list of references and two annexes. Main text 73 pages. Includes 22 pictures, 3 tables.
