Valodu politika Spānijā un Latvijā. Esošās situācijas salīdzinošā analīze un attīstības tendences

Abstract

Šis maģistra darbs ir par valodas politiku un plānošanu Spānijā un Latvijā, un tajā tiek analizētas šo politiku tendences minētajās valstīs. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt un analizēt galvenās esošās valodu politikas un plānošanas teorijas, galvenokārt nacionālā līmenī, kā arī analizēt esošo situāciju un tendences valodu politikas attīstībā Spānijā un Latvijā. Pētījuma rezultāti pierāda, ka valodu politika ietekmē sociolingvistisko situāciju un izmaiņas tajā. Tomēr jāņem vērā, ka valodu politika vienmēr ir pakļauta lingvistiskiem un ekstralingvistiskiem faktoriem, kā politiskiem, kultūras, demogrāfiskiem, sociāliem, vēsturiskiem un ekonomiskiem faktoriem un to izmaiņām, tādēļ valodu politika nemitīgi jāattīsta un jāpielāgo, balstoties uz mūsdienu sabiedrības vajadzībām. Pētījums tika veikts izmantojot analītisko, aprakstošo un salīdzinošo metodi. Atslēgas vārdi: valodas politika, identitāte, bilingvisms, diglosija, statusa plānošana, korpusa plānošana.

This Master's Thesis is dedicated to the subject of language policy and planning in Spain and Latvia and examines their trends in the respective countries. The objective of this thesis is to investigate and to analyse the main theories on language policy and planning, mainly at national level, and to analyse the current situation and trends in the development of language policy in Spain and Latvia. The results of the study have shown that language policies affect the sociolinguistic situation and change it. Nevertheless, it is always a subject to change of linguistic and extralinguistic contexts as political, cultural, demographic, social, historical, economic contexts; therefore, language policies must be developed and adapted, based on the demand of the present society. The study was conducted using the analytical, descriptive and comparative method. Key words: language policy, identity, bilingualism, diglossia, status planning, corpus planning.
