Saikne starp stresu un darbaspējām māsām un medicīnas personālam

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis tika sasniegts izpildot pētījuma uzdevumus, kuri iekļauj trīs pamatdaļas: 1. starptautiskas aptaujas validēšanu un pielāgošanu Latvijas populācijai; 2. aptaujas veikšanu medicīnas darbinieku vidē saskaņā ar starptautisku protokolu; 3. sasniegto atbilžu statistisko apstrādi un secinājumu veidošanu. Pētījuma hipotēzes: 1. Pastāv negatīva saikne starp darba stresu un darbaspējām medicīnas darbinieku vidē; 2. Darba vides stresa ietekme uz māsu un medicīnas darbinieku darbaspējām dažādās vecuma grupās ir atšķirīga. Izvirzītās hipotēzes apstiprinājās. Pētījuma rezultāti: Pētījuma kvalitatīvajā daļā tika paradītas atšķirības, anketas jautājumu izpratnē, starp latviski un krieviski runājošiem respondentiem. Tas palīdzēs veidot pareizus secinājumus darba beigās. Pētījuma kvantitatīvajā daļā, izmantojot validētu anketu tika konstatēts, ka stress negatīvi ietekmē medicīnas darbinieku darbaspējas. Cilvēkus, kas jaunāki par 45 gadiem stress ietekmē vairāk, nekā cilvēkus pēc 45 gadu vecuma. Papildus, mēs novērtējām, ka māsām ir lielākas darba spējas nekā citiem medicīnas darbiniekiem, kuri tika iekļauti mūsu pētījumā. Pētījuma nozīme: Šis ir pirmā reize, kad Latvija piedalās starptautiski organizētā pētījumā, kura mērķis ir novērtēt darba vides stresa ietekmi uz medicīnas personālu. Pētījumam ir stiprs dizains kurš izveidots un pārbaudīts kopā ar starptautiskajiem kolēģiem. Pētījuma sasniegtos rezultātus var vispārināt uz visu medicīnas darbinieku sabiedrību Latvijā, jo pētījumu veido liela respondentu izlase. Darbā izmantoti latviešu un angļu valodā izdoti literatūras avoti.

ASSOCIATION BETWEEN WORK STRESS AND WORK ABILITY AMONG NURSES AND MEDICAL PERSONNEL THE AIM OF THE STUDY: The aim of this study was achieved by accomplishing these 3 main objectives: 1. to validate and to adapt the international questionnaire for Latvian population; 2. to conduct a survey in medical personnel in accordance with the international protocol; 3. to obtain results, to perform a statistical analysis of results, and to make conclusions. STUDY HYPOTHESES: 1. There is a negative association between work stress and work ability among medical personnel; 2. There is a difference in the association between work stress and work ability in medicine personnel in different age groups of medical personnel (age is an effect modifier in this association). RESULTS: In the qualitative part of the study we observed a disparity in answers between Latvianspeaking and Russian-speaking respondents. Part of the questions was interpreted differently in accordance to the respondent’s mother tongue. These findings helped us to interpret obtained results of the study. Additionally, we found that work stress was negatively associated with the medical personnel’s work ability. Medical personnel that were younger than 45 years were more affected by work stress and this significantly decreased their work ability. We concluded that nurses had higher work ability compared to other medical personnel which were included in our survey. THE IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY: This is the first time when Latvia takes part in International organized survey with validated questionnaire to help rate the work stress impacts in medical personnel. The survey has been developed by international colleagues. The results of this survey could be interpreted to all Latvian medical personnel due to a big sample size.
