Diplomdarbā “Zen Budisma atspoguļojums Japāņu restorāna interjera izveidē”, analizējot pieejamo literatūru, tiek pētīts Zen Budisms, tam raksturīgās iezīmes, vēsture un atspoguļojums interjera dizainā. Empīriskajā daļā tiek pētīti Zen restorānu interjeri Kanādā, Ķīnā, Taizemē, Meksikā un Japānā. Radošajā daļā tiek izstrādāts interjera dizaina projekts Japāņu restorānam. Darbs sastāv no četrām nodaļām: pirmajā nodaļā tiek pētīts Mahājānas Budisms, ieskats vēsturē, otrajā nodaļā tiek pētīta Zen Budisma izcelsme, vēsture, attīstība Japānā un raksturīgais. Trešajā nodaļā tiek aplūkota Zen estētika un raksturīgais interjera dizainā. Ceturtajā nodaļā izstrādāts projekta apraksts, rasējumi un vizualizācijas. Diploma thesis is “Reflection of Zen Buddhism in creation of Japanese restaurant”. It explores the origin of Zen Buddhism, it’s characteristics, history and reflection in interior design. In the empirical part of this work, author has analyzed Zen restaurant interiors in Canada, China, Thailand, Mexico and Japan. The creative part consists of an interior project for Japanese restaurant. Diploma consists of four parts: the first chapter explores Mahajana Buddhism, it’s history; the second chapter contains the origin of Zen Buddhism, history, development in Japan and characteristics; the third part analyzes Zen aesthetics and reflection in interior design; the forth chapter includes interior design project, draughts and vizualizations.
