Paleoģeogrāfisko apstākļu izmaiņas Ziemeļu Garezera attīstības laikā

Rīga, Latvijas Universitāte, Ģeogrāfijas un Zemes zinātņu fakultāte, 68 lpp. Ziemeļu Garezers ir sekls un viens no aizaugošiem ezeriem Rīgas līča Vidzemes piekrastē, kura krasti pakāpeniski aizaug un pārpurvojas. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija izpētīt un raksturot paleoģeogrāfisko apstākļu izmaiņas Ziemeļu Garezera attīstības laikā. Ezera aizaugošās daļas pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti sniegs jaunu informāciju arī Carnikavas novada pārvaldei, kas būs nozīmīga teritorijas sakārtošanas darbos un pilnīgākai apzināšanai, kā arī lai izvēlētos labākos apsaimniekošanas paņēmienus. Pētījuma ietvaros tika veikti lauka darbi, tai skaitā ģeoloģiskā urbšana un zondēšana, nogulumu paraugu ievākšana un dokumentēšana. Ievāktie paraugi tika analizēti laboratorijā izmantojot karsēšanas zudumu, sporu-putekšņu, botāniskā sastāva un sadalīšanās pakāpes noteikšanas metodes, kā arī izmantota granulometriskā sastāva sietu un minerālo graudu noapaļotības noteikšanas metodes. Pētījumā secināts, ka ezera attīstības un nogulumu uzkrāšanās laikā būtiska nozīme bijusi ūdens līmeņa svārstībām, kas ietekmējušas gan nogulumu uzkrāšanās apstākļus gan arī ezera aizaugšanas procesus.

Grūbe, G. „Changes of paleogeographical conditions during development of Ziemeļu Garezers”. Bachelor thesis – Riga, University of Latvia, Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences, pp. 68. Ziemeļu Garezers is shallow and one of the overgrowing lake in the coastal area of the Gulf of Riga Vidzeme coast. Shores of the lake is gradually overgroving. The aim of the Bachelor’s work was to investigate and characterise changes of the palaeogeographical conditions during development of the Lake Ziemeļu Garezers. The results obtained in the study will give new information to the Carnikava County administration, which will be imortant for the improvement of the territory and choose the best measures of the management. Investigations were based on field works, including geological coring and probing, obtaining and documenting samples of sediments. The collected samples were analyzed using methods of determining the loss of ignition, spore-pollen analysis, peat botanical composition and decomposition degree, as well as analysis of granulometric composition and roundness of the mineral grains. Fluctuations in water levels have played a significant role in the development of the lake and influenced sediment accumulation conditions, which has affected both the accumulation of sediment and the processes of overgrowing of the lake.
