Lingvistiskās pazīmes tvītos

Abstract

Mūsdienās, gan personiskajā, gan profesionālajā dzīvē liela nozīme ir komunikācijas prasmēm. Dažādas sociālās platformas kā, piemēram, Tviters sniedz iespēju komunicēt efektīvak, dalīties ar nozīmīgu informāciju un publiski izteikt savu viedokli. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt lingvistiskās iezīmes, kas raksturo tvītus. Kā pētījuma objekts tika izvēlēti politiķa ASV prezidenta Donalda Trampa tvīti. Pētījuma materiāli sastāvēja no 100 nejauši izvēlētiem tvītiem. Tika pielietotas divas pētījuma metodes – diskursa analīze un vārdu biežuma analīze. Diskursa analīzes metode tika pielietota ar mērķi noteikt Donalda Trampa valodas lietojuma paradumus. Savukārt, vārdu biežuma analīzes metode ļāva noteikt visbiežāk izmantotās lingvistiskās iezīmes. Iegūtie rezultāti liecina, ka galvenās gramatiskās iezīmes, ko Donalds Tramps lieto tvītos ir augstas modalitātes darbības vārdi kā arī stāstījuma un izsauksmes teikuma veidi. Savukārt, no leksiskajām iezīmēm, Donalds Tramps liek uzsvaru uz personvietniekvārdu lietojumu, kā arī pielieto dažādus izteiksmes līdzekļu kā, piemēram, metaforas.

In nowadays, good communication skills are very important for personal and professional life. Different social networking platforms such as Twitter provides the opportunity to communicate more effectively as well as to quickly exchange information and to express the personal opinion to masses. The aim of the Bachelor Thesis is to examine the linguistic features of Tweets. As the subject matter, the Tweets generated by the politician Donald Trump was chosen. The corpus consisted of 100 randomly selected Twitter Tweets. Two different research methods were applied as discourse analysis and frequency analysis. The discourse analysis was used in order to investigate Donald Trump’s language patterns; However, the frequency analyses helped to determine which linguistic features are the most frequently used in the Tweets. The results showed that Donald Trump’s main grammatical features are the use of obligatory modal auxiliary verbs and the use of declarative and exclamatory sentences. However, from the lexical feature point of view, Donald Trump puts the emphasis on the use of personal pronouns and manipulates with different stylistic devices, such as metaphors.
