Eiropas Savienības Pastāvīgā strukturētā sadarbība drošības un aizsardzības jomā: Francijas, Vācijas, Itālijas un Polijas nacionālo interešu analīze

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir ,,Eiropas Savienības Pastāvīgā strukturētā sadarbība drošības un aizsardzības jomā: Francijas, Vācijas, Itālijas un Polijas nacionālo interešu analīze’’. Šī bakalaura darba ietvaros tiek pētītas Francijas, Vācijas, Itālijas un Polijas nacionālās intereses saistībā ar ES Pastāvīgo strukturēto sadarbību drošības un aizsardzības jomā (PESCO). Pētījuma mērķis ir identificēt kopīgas un atšķirīgas iezīmes šo valstu interesēs un izdarīt secinājumus par potenciālo domstarpību ietekmi uz PESCO ilgtspēju un turpmākās attīstības iespējām. Lai to paveiktu, darba ietvaros tika veikta četru valstu galveno plānošanas dokumentu drošības un aizsardzības jomā kvalitatīva un kvantitatīva analīze, kā arī deskriptīva sekundāro datu analīze. Pētījuma ietvaros tika izvirzītas divas hipotēzes, proti, ka 1) Francijas, Vācijas, Itālijas un Polijas nacionālās intereses attiecībā uz PESCO atšķiras, un 2) PESCO atbilst Francijas, Vācijas Itālijas un Polijas nacionālajām interesēm. Darba ietvaros abas hipotēzes apstiprinās.

The topic of the Bachelor’s Thesis is “European Union Permanent Structured Cooperation on Security and Defence: Analysis of National Interests of France, Germany, Italy and Poland”. The Bachelor’s Thesis studies the national interests of France, Germany, Italy and Poland concerning the European Union Permanent Structured Cooperation on Security and Defence (PESCO). The aim of the research is to identify common and distinct features within the national interests of the above mentioned states, as well as to make conclusions on the potential influence of the disagreements on the sustainability and the future development of the PESCO. In order to achieve that, the research contains a qualitative and quantitative content analysis of the main security and defence policy planning documents of the four countries, as well as studies secondary sources using descriptive methods. Two hypotheses are put forward within the research: 1) The national interests of France, Germany, Italy and Poland regarding the PESCO differ, and 2) The PESCO coincides with the national interests of France, Germany, Italy and Poland. The both hypotheses are confirmed within the research.
