Arheoloģiskās liecības par dzelzs laikmeta apdzīvotību Rīgas teritorijā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Arheoloģiskās liecības par dzelzs laikmeta apdzīvotību Rīgas teritorijā” mērķis ir analizēt historiogrāfijā izteiktās atziņas par vēlā dzelzs laikmeta apdzīvotību mūsdienu Rīgas teritorijā, papildinot tās ar jaunāko arheoloģisko pētījumu rezultātiem. Ņemot vērā arheoloģiskajos pētījumos iegūtās liecības par apdzīvotību Rīgas teritorijā pirms pilsētas dibināšanas, ir daudz neskaidrības. Darba gaitā tika aplūkota vēsturnieku un arheologu priekšstatu attīstība par darbā pētīto tēmu laika gaitā no 19.gadsimta līdz mūsdienām. Uzsvars tiek likts uz arheoloģisko izrakumu liecību analīzi, uz kuras balstoties tiek iegūta kopaina par vietējo iedzīvotāju apmetnēm un apbedījumu vietām, kas atradušās mūsdienu Rīgas teritorijā pirms 13.gadsimta. Uzmanība tiek pievērsta arī arheoloģiskas nozīmes objektiem mūsdienu Rīgas teritorijā, kas varētu būt bijuši apdzīvoti dzelzs laikmetā, bet līdz šim nav tikuši arheoloģiski pētīti. Rezultātā tiek iegūts priekšstats par apdzīvotības intensitāti un attīstību Rīgas teritorijā pirms pilsētas dibināšanas, kā arī parādīti virzieni turpmākajai dzelzs laikmeta Rīgas teritorijas izpētei.

The aim of the Bachelor thesis “Archaeological evidence of Iron age population in the territory of Riga” is to analize the lessons expressed in historiography regarding the population of the late Iron Age in the modern territory of Riga, complementing them with the results of the latest archaeological studies. In view of the evidence from archaeological studies on the population in the Riga area before the city was founded, there is a lot of uncertainty. The course of work dealt with the development of historians and archaeologists regarding the subject matter studied over the course of the 19 th century until today. The emphasis is placed on an analysis of archaeological excavation evidence on the basis of a picture of local population settlements and burial sites in the modern Riga territory before the 13th century. The attention is also on objects of archaeological significance in the modern territory of Riga, which may have been inhabited in the Iron Age, but have not been researched so far. The result is a picture of the intensity and development of population in the territory of Riga before the city is founded, and the directions for further exploration of the Iron Age Riga territory are shown.
