Padomju laika reprezentācija un semiotiskā analīze Rolanda Kalniņa filmās “Akmens un šķembas” un “Četri balti krekli”

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Padomju laika reprezentācija un semiotiskā analīze Rolanda Kalniņa filmās “Akmens un šķembas” un “Četri balti krekli”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā izvēlētajās filmās – “Akmens un šķembas” un “Četri balti krekli” tiek reprezentēts padomju laiks Latvijā un izpētīt filmas, izmantojot kino semiotikas instrumentāriju. Darba teorētiskajā daļā apskatītas semiotikas un reprezentācijas teorijas, Latvijas vēsturiskais periods 20.gs (1940-1990), kinorežisora Rolanda Kalniņa un scenārista Viktora Lorenca darbība kinematogrāfijā, kā arī abu filmu “Akmens un šķembas” un “Četri balti krekli” tapšanas vēsture. Metodoloģijas daļā aprakstītas izmantotās pētniecības metodes: semiotiskā analīze un daļēji strukturēta intervija. Darba empīriskajā daļā veikts pētījums par abām izvēlētajām Rolanda Kalniņa filmām, izmantojot reprezentācijas un semiotikas teorijas, kā arī aprakstītas intervijas ar kino režisoru, kino operatoru un filmas “Četri balti krekli” aktrisi. The topic of the bachelor’s thesis is Representation of Soviet time and semiotic analysis of the in Rolands Kalniņš movies “Stone and Flinders” and “Four White Shirts”. The aim of the thesis is to research how the period of Soviet time occupation of Latvia is represented in the chosen films as well as to study these films utilizing film semiotics principles. The theoretical part of the bachelor’s thesis consists of a description of the semiotic and representational theories, the overview of the history of Latvia from 1940 until 1990, the cinematographic work of the film director Rolands Kalniņš and screenwriter Viktors Lorencs, as well as the history of making both films “Stone and Flinders” and “Four White Shirts”. Two research methods are described in the methodological part: a semiotic analysis, and a partly structured interview. The empirical part consists of a study of both films. Representational and semiotic theories are used in this work. The author has also included interviews with the film director, cameraman and one of the actresses of the film “Four White Shirts”.
