Lielbritānijas un Eiropas kopienas attiecību dinamika Mārgaretas Tečeres valdību laikā (1979-1990)

Abstract

Pētījums ir veltīts Lielbritānijas un Eiropas Kopienas attiecību analīzei Mārgaretas Tečeres vadīto Ministru Kabinetu periodā, proti, no 1979. līdz 1990. gadam. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot šo attiecību raksturu dinamiku dažādos apskatāmā perioda posmos, lai rastu atbildi uz darba hipotēzi. Darba hipotēze balstās uz pieņēmumu, ka no divām dažādām Eiropas integrācijas teoriju grupām M. Tečeres periodā Lielbritānijas un Eiropas Kopienas attiecībās dominēja integrācijas starpvalstu teoriju pazīmes. Darba gaitā šī hipotēze apstiprinās – pētījums liecina, ka M. Tečeres kā suverēnas Eiropas Kopienas dalībvalsts vadītājas apzināta politika stipri ietekmēja gan Lielbritānijas iekļaušanās Eiropas Kopienā īpatnības, gan visas Kopienas integrācijas procesu.

The aim of the study is to analyse the relationship between the United Kingdom and the European Community during the period of the premiership of Margaret Thatcher, i.e., from 1979 to 1990. It is important to find out the dynamics of these relationships at different stages of the period to find an answer to the hypothesis of work. The work hypothesis is based on assumption that features of intergovernmental theories of European integration dominated between the United Kingdom and the European Community in the period. In the process, this hypothesis will be confirmed - the study shows that M. Thatcher’s as a leader of a sovereign Member State of the European Community strongly influenced both the peculiarities of British integration into the European Community and the whole process of Community integration.
