Pētījuma datu iegūšanai tika izmantotas trīs aptaujas: Iesaistīšanās darbā aptauja („Utrecht Work Engagement Scale”, UWES, Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003; tulkojums latviešu valodā Lasmane, 2012), Darba jēgas aptauja („The Work and Meaning Inventory”, WAMI, Steger, 2011; aptauja tulkota šī darba ietvaros) un Lielā Piecinieka aptauja, BFI LV („The Big Five Inventory”, John & Srivastava, 1999; tulkojums latviešu valodā Austers, 2007; Perepjolkina, Kālis, 2012).
dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to find out if there are statistically significant correlations between work engagement and meaningful work and between work engagement and personal traits, as well to find out how meaningful work and personal traits predict work engagement. The research sample consists of 107 respondents from different companies, with different length of service and education, of which 79 = female and 28 = male, aged 22 to 55 years. Three surveys were used to obtain the study data: Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), Schaufeli & Bakker, 2003, adapted in Latvian by Lasmane, 2012, The Work and Meaning Inventory (WAMI), Steger, 2011, translated into Latvian as part of this work and The Big Five Inventory (BFI), John & Srivastava, 1999, adapted in Latvian by Austers, 2007; Perepjolkina & Kālis, 2012. The research results show that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between the work engagement and the meaningful work. There is a statistically significant positive correlation between work engagement and personal traits openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness and a statistically significant negative correlation between work engagement and neuroticism. In addition, no a statistically significant correlation between work engagement and extraversion. Results regression analysis show that the meaningful work statistically significant predict the work engagement and such a personal traits like openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness and neuroticism as a whole are significant predictor of the work engagement.
