Qualification work "Usage of didactic games on speech development for 5 to 6-year-old children" The aim of the research: to analyze theoretically and practically 5 to 6-year old children speech development, using didactic games. The paper includes quotes about children's language development and the importance of didactic games in speech development. Outlined didactic games and exercises which promote the quality and amount of vocabulary using games with movements, picture cards, and interactive games. The child learns new words while playing. In the theory departments the author reveals that a child of pre-school age is characterized by considerable thinking. Word-of-mouth logical thinking is gradually evolving. At the age of 5-6, the child's speech is based on everything that has come to life, in future it will only enrich itself with new words and means of expression. In an empirical part of the study, children were tested for vocabulary and literacy. It was concluded that children aged 5-6 rarely use adjectives, were unable to think of words of the opposite meaning (antonyms) and of similar meaning (synonyms), as well as difficulties in reading the name after it was described. Therefore, games were targeted to facilitate the acquisition and use of adjectives. As well as expanding the vocabulary, the children also developed narrative skills. Results of the research are summarized in 2 chart and 16 images. In the paper 43 literature and sources of information were used. The results of the research show that didactic games used for 5 to 6-year-old children successfully have expanded the amount and narrative skills. The job can be used by young educators to understand the lines of speech development and use didactic games that contribute to the expansion of the vocabulary. Key words- child's speech, didactic games, special features of the age group, language and speech, child's speech.
