Informācijas un komunikācijas tehnoloģiju nozares attīstības tendences Baltijas valstīs

Abstract

Diplomdarba tēma ir „Informācijas un komunikācijas tehnoloģiju nozares attīstības tendences Baltijas valstīs”. IKT nozare kļūst arvien svarīgāka ekonomikā un mūsu dzīvēs kopumā. IKT nozare pasaulē aktīvi attīstās un piesaista arvien vairāk speciālistu to pētīšanai. Lai arī IKT nozare Baltijas valstīs attīstās un ar katru gadu tās rādītāji kļūst labāki, tomēr tie ir tālu no Nīderlandes un Vācijas rādītājiem. Līdz ar to aktuāls ir jautājums, kādas ir IKT nozares attīstības tendences Baltijas valstīs, kā arī kāds ir Latvijas IKT nozares pašreizējais stāvoklis un kādas ir tās attīstības iespējas. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot Latvijas IKT sektora pašreizējo stāvokli Baltijas valstu kontekstā un izstrādāt ieteikumus IKT nozares attīstības veicināšanai Latvijā uz Baltijas valstu galveno rādītāju piemērā. Darba apjoms ir 77 lpp., t.sk. 1 tabula, 21 attēls, 4 pielikumi. Darbs sastāv no 3 daļām. Pirmajā daļā tiek apskatīti IKT nozares teorētiskie aspekti, otrajā daļā tiek analizēta Baltijas valstu IKT nozare un tās ietekme uz Baltijas valstu ekonomiku, kā arī ar IKT tiek analizēti Baltijas valstu IKT nozares statiskie dati. Savukārt trešajā nodaļā tiek intervēti dažādi Latvijas IKT nozares eksperti. Darba nobeigumā tiek veikti secinājumi un izstrādāti priekšlikumi Latvijas IKT nozares attīstības veicināšanai.

The Diploma Thesis topic is "Trends in the Information and Communication Technology Sector in the Baltic States". The ICT sector becomes more important for economy and people’s everyday lives as a whole. The ICT industry is currently being actively developed across the world, attracting more and more specialist. Whilst the ICT industry is also emerging in the Baltic Region, with its growing indicators, the regions falls behind the Netherlands and Germany. Therefore, the current situation on the market as well as the future development of the industry in the Baltic Regions is of a particular relevance. The aim of this thesis is to identify the current situation of the ICT sector in Latvia by looking at the wider Baltic context, as well as the development of the recommendation, which would support the sector’s evolvement. The thesis consists 77 pages long and consists of: 1 table, 21 images, 4 appendices. Thesis consists of 3 chapters. The first chapter looks at the theoretical aspects of the ICT industry. The second chapter analysis the ICT sector in the Baltic States as a whole and its influence upon the economy of the Baltic States, as well as analyses statistical data. The third chapter contains a series of specialist interviews with the ICT industry specialist in Latvia. The final section of the thesis provides recommendations regarding the development of the ICT sector development in Latvia as well as the overall conclusion.
