Abstract

Uzskatos par labu un ļaunu cilvēku novērojamās kopīgās realitātes saistība ar ideoloģisko orientāciju un morāles pamatu nozīmīgumu PROMOCIJAS DARBA ANOTĀCIJA Promocijas darba uzmanības centrā ir politiskā ideoloģija, kura saturiski tiek apskatīta trīs dažādos veidos – pētot sociālo konservatīvismu, atbalstu brīvajam tirgum un politisko orientāciju; un metodoloģiski tiek pētīta trīs dažādos veidos – pētot morāles pamatus grupām ar atšķirīgu ideoloģisko orientāciju, pētot kopīgo realitāti uzskatos par labu un ļaunu cilvēku grupām ar atšķirīgu ideoloģisko orientāciju, kā arī pētot morāles pamatu nozīmīgumu. Promocijas darba mērķa sasniegšanai tiek izmantota kvazieksperimentāla metode; aprakstošs sakarību pētījuma dizains, ar kura palīdzību tiek meklētas atšķirības morāles pamatsistēmās cilvēkiem ar liberālu un konservatīvu ideoloģisko orientāciju, atšķirības kopīgajā realitātē uzskatos par labu un ļaunu cilvēku respondentiem ar liberālu un konservatīvu ideoloģisko orientāciju un zemu vai augstu individuālu un saistību morāles pamatu nozīmīgumu, kā arī iekšgrupas kopīgā realitāte ideoloģijas grupās un morāles pamatu nozīmīguma grupās. Svarīga promocijas darba daļa ir veltīta Morāles pamatu aptaujas adaptācijai un ticamības pārbaudei, jo šis instruments vēl nav izmantots Latvijā. Šajā pētījumā morāles pamatu aptauja tika izmantota trim mērījumiem: morāles pamatu pašnovērtējums, uzskati par laba cilvēka morāles pamatiem un uzskati par ļauna cilvēka morāles pamatiem. Pirmkārt, pētījums atklāj atšķirības morāles pamatos saistībā ar politisko ideoloģiju. Ir daļēji apstiprināta morāles pamatu hipotēze. Otrkārt, pētījums atklāj, ka kopīgās realitātes veidošanās pamatā ir augsti izteikti individuāli un saistību morāles pamati. Treškārt, pētījums atklāj, ka ideoloģija daļēji veido iekšgrupas kopīgu realitāti, politiski liberālu cilvēku grupā tā pastāv uzskatos par ļauna cilvēka individuāliem morāles pamatiem kaitējums/rūpes un godīgums /savstarpīgums. Tomēr, politiskā ideoloģija, kas tika opreacionalizēta kā sociālais konservatīvisms, atbalsts brīvajam tirgum un politiskās orientācijas pašnovērtējums, daļēji veido kopīgās realitātes pamatu; var uzsvērt tikai kopīgās realitātes atsevišķus elementus. Bet politiskā ideoloģija, kura tika operacionalizēta, lietojot morāles pamatu nozīmīgumu kā individuālo atšķirību mainīgo, veido izteiktāku kopīgo realitāti uzskatos par labu un ļaunu cilvēku un veido pamatu kopīgajai realitātei. Shared reality in beliefs about a good and evil person, political ideology and the importance of moral foundation ABSTRACT OF THE DISSERTATION The present work focuses on political ideology as a basis of shared reality. In terms of contents, political ideology has been examined in three different ways – as social conservativism, support for free market, and self-reported political orientation. Political ideology has been studied through investigation of the importance of moral foundations in groups with different ideological orientations, and through examination of shared reality concerning beliefs about a good and an evil person in groups of people with different ideological orientations. In order to attain the aim of the research, a quazi-experimental method was used - a descriptive correlational study design aimed at discovering differences in moral foundations of people with liberal and conservative ideological orientation, as well as measuring shared reality in beliefs about a good and an evil person among respondents with liberal and conservative ideological orientation. As another status variable, the importance of individual and binding moral foundations was used, measuring the same dependent variables described above. An important part of this dissertation was devoted to adaptation and validity testing of the the Moral Foundations Questionnaire (Graham, Haidt, & Nosek, 2007). Moral foundations questionnaire is being used in the present research to measure the self-reported importance of moral foundations, and beliefs about a good person’s moral foundations and an evil person’s moral foundations. The results showed that there were differences in the importance of some moral foundations depending on respondent’s political ideology, which is partly in line with the moral foundations hypothesis. A shared reality about a good and an evil person is formed on the basis of pronounced individual and binding moral foundations. Ideology in part forms a basis for a shared reality. Among political liberals, a shared reality can be observed in the beliefs about an evil person’s individual moral foundations harm/care and fairness/reciprocity. In general, when political ideology was operationalizes as social conservativism, support to free market, and the self-reported political orientation, only separate elements of shared reality could be observed. When the importance of individual and binding moral foundations as an individual difference variable was used as a proxy measure of political ideology, a more pronounced shared reality could be observed in the views about a good and an evil person.
