Kvalifikācijas darba apjoms: 40 lpp Topic of qualification paper: „Formation of mathematical notions for preschool children aged 4-5 in plays and games”. Aim: To find out and justify the formation of mathematics notions for 4-5 years old children with the help of plays and games. The first chapter of the paper deals with the intellectual development of the child and the formation of mathematical notions in pre-school, summarizes the ideas of the teachers and psychologists. Also discusses the concepts of play and games, their essence and role in fostering the development of the child, emphasizing the promotion of mathematical thinking, taking into account the peculiarities of the development of children of pre-school age. The second chapter deals with the practical work of studying how play and games can contribute to the formation of mathematical notions of 4-5-year-old preschool children. Children's knowledge is tested twice - at the beginning of the study and after two months of work. At the end of the research, the hypothesis that plays and games can significantly contribute to the formation of children's mathematical notions in pre-school is confirmed. Size: 40 pages
