Pētījums apskata uzticēšanos tiesnešiem saistībā ar sociālo cinismu. Hipotēze, ka starp šiem konstruktiem pastāv negatīva korelācija, ir pārbaudīta 185 Latvijas sabiedrības pārstāvju izlasē. Papildus pētot piedēvēto sociālo cinismu un piedēvēto uzticēšanos, pētījumā iekļauta arī 78 Latvijas tiesnešu izlase. Pārbaudīti jautājumi par saistībām starp izlašu sociālo cinismu un piedēvēto cinismu, starp piedēvēto cinismu un uzticēšanos. Tāpat ir apskatīta uzticēšanās tiesnešiem sabiedrības pārstāvju izlases apakšgrupās, kas izveidotas, par kritērijiem izmantojot pastarpinātu vai nepastarpinātu saskarsmi ar jurisprudenci un tiesām. Pētījumā izmantota Sociālo aksiomu aptaujas daļa, kas attiecas uz sociālo cinismu, kā arī pētījuma vajadzībām izveidotā Uzticēšanās tiesnešiem aptauja. Pētījums pierādīja statistiski nozīmīgu negatīvu saistību starp sociālo cinismu un uzticēšanos tiesnešiem. Papildus pētījums parāda būtiskas atšķirības starp pētījuma grupu cinismu un pretējai grupai piedēvēto cinismu. Pētījums neparāda atšķirības starp uzticēšanos tiesnešiem un tiesnešu prognozēto uzticēšanos viņiem. Tāpat, pētot uzticēšanos tiesnešiem apakšgrupās, nav atrastas nozīmīgas atšķirības iepriekš minētajās sabiedrības pārstāvju apakšgrupās. The paper examines trust in judiciary in relation with social cynicism. A hypothesis about a negative correlation between these two constructs has been tested in a sampling of 185 representatives of Latvian society. In addition, a sampling of 78 Latvian judges has been included in the research to study the attribution of social cynicism and the attribution of trust. Relations between various constructs have been examined, such as social cynicism and attributed social cynicism, attributed social cynicism and trust. Trust in judiciary in subgroups of the society representatives’ sampling has been examined as well, the group subdivision criteria being either direct or indirect contact with judiciary or jurisprudence. The social cynicism related part of the Social Axioms Survey has been used in the research. A Trust in Judiciary survey has been designed specifically for this research. The research has demonstrated a statistically significant negative correlation between social cynicism and trust in judiciary. Additionally, there has been found a significant difference between a groups’ social cynicism and the social cynicism attributed to the other group. No difference has been found between trust in judiciary and predicted trust in judiciary. Neither difference in trust in judiciary in the mentioned subgroups of Latvian representatives has been found.
