To izplatības apvidos reljefa artikulācija parasti ir no
konusiem. Kēmu terašu veidošanās starplobu izometriskajās augstienēs ir aizsākusies
drīz pēc to centrālās daļas zemledāja glaciotektonisko reljefa formu rašanās, bet
noslēgusies ar ledāja atkāpšanos no Linkuvas fāzes malas veidojumiem. Kame terrace and they formative sediments are ice-contact formations what
developed in ice marginal conditions. The local relief of the kame terrace terrain and
surrounding area usually is from 20 to 50 m, up to a maximum of 100 m, it meets to
the vertical articulation of land of the glacier interlobate insular uplands areas. This
study is based on geospatial analysis of the large-scale cartographic material, data
from field studies, and results of the sediment OSL age determination. Results of the
study provide new information on kame terrace morphology, genetic diversity,
internal structure and changes of their formation enviroment. As a result of
morphological analysis the kame terrace are divided into linear kame terraces and
segment-type kame terraces. Along the marginal (lateral) ice contact slopes of the
interlobate accumulative glaciostructural insular uplands, linear type kame terraces
are genetically related to the lateral meltwater channel valleys and glaciofluvial delta
cones. Formation of the kame terraces started soon after for mation of glaciotectonic
hummocky topography, in earlier phases of the insular deglaciation of the last
Fennoscandian ice sheet. The youngest ones were formed along the south-eastern
slope of the Alūksne Upland during Linkuva deglaciation phase.
