Par trīsdimensionālo printēšanu ar katru dienu var dzirdēt arvien vairāk, vai tas būtu saistīts ar jaunas ortozes izmantošanu medicīnā vai lidmašīnas izgatavošanu. Līdz ar printeru cenu samazināšanos un šai jomai veltīto interneta platformu popularizēšanos, 3D printēšana ar katru dienu kļūst arvien pieejamāka ikvienam mājas apstākļos, tomēr šajā tehnoloģijā joprojām ir daudz neskaidrību un tā raisa jaunus jautājumus, kuriem ir kā tiesisks un ētisks, tā ar veselību un drošību saistīts aspekts. Maģistra darbā izvērtēti potenciālie autortiesību un patentu tiesību pārkāpumi 3D printēšanas procesā un meklētas atbildes, kā, piemērojot spēkā esošo nacionālo un Eiropas Savienības normatīvo regulējumu, tiesību subjekts var aizsargāt savas tiesības. Every day one hears more and more about three-dimensional printing, whether it is related to the use of a new orthosis in medicine or manufacture of an airplane. With the decline in printer prices and the popularization of Internet platforms dedicated to this subject, 3D printing is becoming more and more accessible to the home user, but there is still a lot of confusion regarding this technology with new issues arising that are both legal and ethical, as well as health and safety related. This Master’s thesis assesses potential copyright and patent rights infringement in the process of 3D printing and seeks answers on how the rights holder can protect their rights by applying the existing national and European regulatory frameworks.
