The title of the Master’s thesis is “The Right of a Woman to freely decide over the integrity of her body”. Such a title for Master’s thesis has been chosen, since the amendments to the Law were directed at the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia, with a desire to limit the right of women who have not given brith to donate their eggs. The restriction on fundamental human rights must be justified and legitimate, which does not follow from the amendment's statement, and therefore the restriction on the female who have not given birth is prima facie considered to be unjustified and discriminatory. The Master's thesis highlights the issue of the relationship between the State and the individual, the freedom of man on the one hand and the right of the State to restrict fundamental human rights on the other. Author puts thesis on defence that the restriction on women to freely rule over their bodies violates a woman's autonomy and the right to freely rule over the integrity of her body. The donation process does not differ between women and therefore the prohibition is a discrimination of a separate group, since there is no legitimate basis for the State to restrict women or the right of a separate group to freely rule over their bodies.
