Izraēlas stratēģiskā kultūra un iesaistīšanās Sīrijas bruņotajā konfliktā

Abstract

Maģistra darbā “Izraēlas stratēģiskā kultūra un iesaistīšanās Sīrijas bruņotajā konfliktā” autors pēta to, kādi apsvērumi mudina Izraēlu iesaistīties Sīrijas karā. Darbā Izraēlas rīcības skaidrošanai tiks izmantota stratēģiskās kultūras teorija, savukārt darbā izmantotā metodoloģija ir gadījuma analīze. Darba gaitā tiek secināts, ka Izraēlas stratēģiskā kultūra, kura ir balstīta vērtībās, pieredzē un kuru ietekmē ģeopolitiskā vide, ir noteicošs faktors tās rīcībā Sīrijā. Valsti iesaistīties Sīrijas konfliktā galvenokārt mudina Irānas ietekmes izplatīšanās, ko Izraēla uztver kā draudu savai drošībai.

In the master’s thesis “Strategic culture of Israel and its involvement in the Syrian armed conflict” the author investigates considerations which encourage Israel to involve in the Syrian war. To explain Israeli action, strategic culture theory will be used, and the methodology used in thesis is case study. It is concluded that the Israeli strategic culture, which is based in values, experience and which is influenced by the geopolitical environment, is a deciding factor in the country’s involvement in Syria. Israel is prompted to involve in the Syrian conflict mainly because of the spread of influence of Iran, which Israel perceives as a threat.
