Atslēgas vārdi: kognitīvās funkcijas, atmiņa, motorās spējas, uzmanība, fiziskā aktivitāte, pieaugušo vecumposms The aim of this study was to find out, whether there is a link between cognitive functions and physical activities in adult population. 84 people aged 19 to 47 participated in the research, from which 33 were women and 51 were men. Parts of the cognitive tests were not completely filled by all participants, therefore, the number of respondents in each part was different. Tests that were used to measure congitive functions and physical activity were Leisure Time Exercise Questionnaire, Global Physical Activity Questionnaire, Finger Tapping Test, Stroop Test, Word learning and recognition test. Results showed that cognitive functions were not related to the level of physcial activity. Overall the results obtained were not consistent with previous research, which means that all 3 hypotheses posed in the study were rejected. Key words: cognitive functions, memory, motor speed, attention, physcial activity, adult
