Mātes audzināšanas pieeju saistība ar vecāku kompetences izjūtu un bērnu uzvedību audžuģimenēs un bioloģiskajās ģimenēs.

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija pētīt, vai pastāv atšķirības un saistības starp mātes audzināšanas pieejām ar vecāku kompetences izjūtu un bērnu uzvedības problēmām audžuģimenēs un bioloģiskajās ģimenēs. Pētījumā piedalījās 64 mātes, kurām ir bērni vecumā no 8-18 gadiem, no kurām 32 bija audžumātes, bet 32 bija bioloģiskās mātes. Respondentiem bija jāaizpilda trīs aptaujas - Alabamas audzināšanas aptauja (The Alabama Parenting Questionnaire – Preschool Revision, (APQ-PR), Clerkin, Marks, Polikaro & Halperin, 2007), Vecāku kompetences izjūtas skala (Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC), Johnston & Mash, 1989) un Ahenbaha bērnu uzvedības novērtējuma anketa vecākiem (bērna vecums 6-18gadi) (Youth Self-Report, YSR, Achenbach & Rescorla, 2001). Audžumāšu grupā tik konstatēta pozitīva saistība starp audžubērna uzmanības problēmām un mātes kompetences izjūtas efektivitātes skalas rādītājiem. Tika konstatēta arī pozitīva saistība starp kopējās kompetences izjūtas skalas rādītājiem un trauksmes/nomāktības rādītājiem bērna uzvedībā, t.i., mātes, kas jūtas kompetentas, iespējams, biežāk pamana bērna trauksmi un nomāktību. Ir konstatēta saistība starp pretrunīgas disciplinēšanas esamību un somatiskajām raizēm. Bioloģisko māšu grupā tika konstatēta statistiski nozīmīga saistība starp Ahenbaha apataujas uzmanības nenoturības rādītājiem un citas disciplinēšanas prakses skalas un negatīva saistība ar Vecāku kompetences aptaujas efektivitātes apakšskalas rādītājiem. Bioloģisko māšu grupā ir konstatēta statistiski nozīmīga negatīva saistība starp uzmanības problēmām un kompetences izjūtas efektivitātes skalas rādītājiem.

The aim of this study was to investigate whether there are differences and correlative links between mothers parenting approach, parents' sense of competence and children's behavioral problems in foster families and biological families. The study included 64 mothers with children aged 8-18 years, 32 of whom were foster parents, and 32 were biological mothers. Respondents had to fill out three questionnaires - The Alabama Parenting Questionnaire – Preschool Revision, (APQ-PR),( Clerkin, Marks, Polikaro & Halperin, 2007), Parenting Sense of Competence Scale (PSOC), Johnston & Mash, 1989) and Youth Self-Report, YSR, Achenbach & Rescorla, 2001). In foster mothers group a positive correlation was found between the attention difficulties of the foster child and indicators of effectiveness of the mother's sense of competence scale. There was also a positive correlation between the scores of the overall sense of competence scale and indicators of anxiety / suppression in child behavior, i.e., mothers who feel more competent could possibly notice anxiety and depression in the child more often. A connection between the existence of contradictory discipline and somatic concerns was also found. In the group of biological mothers, a statistically significant correlation was found between Ahenbach's questionnaire scores of unsustainable attention and other disciplinary practices scale and a negative correlation with Parental Competency Surveys efficiency sub-scale scores. In the group of biological mothers there is a statistically significant negative correlation between attention problems and scale score of competence sense effectiveness.
