Maģistra darbs “Latviešu autoru 21. gadsimta teātra tekstu funkcionalitāte” veltīts latviešu autoru 21. gadsimta teātra tekstu analīzei, pievēršot uzmanību tekstradei un teksta funkcionalitātei. Mainoties teātra tekstu un iestudējumu savstarpējām attiecībām un tekstam zaudējot centrālo lomu iestudējumos, mainījušies arī teātra tekstu radīšanas principi un teksta funkcionalitāte iestudējumā, un tas sevišķi spilgti novērojams postdramatiskā teātra kontekstā. Latvijas teātrī par būtiski pagriezienu kļuva Alvja Hermaņa 2004. gada izrāde “Latviešu stāsti” (Jaunais Rīgas teātris), kas aktualizēja diskursu par teātra tekstiem. Šajā darbā no tekstrades un teksta funkcionalitātes viedokļa analizētas desmit 21. gadsimta latviešu teātru izrādes, kurās teksts tapis pirms iestudējuma vai mēģinājuma procesā ar dramaturga līdzdalību vai vai bez tās. The master thesis “Functionality of 21st century theatre texts by Latvian authors” researches theatre texts and their stagings in the 21st century Latvian theatre, paying attention to the creation and functionality of the texts. Texts have lost their central role in performances, especially in the postdramatic theatre. Thus, the main principles of creating theatre texts and their functionality in stagings have also changed. In Latvian theatre, a turning point was the performance “Latvian Stories” by director Alvis Hermanis (New Riga Theatre) in 2004, which brought to the foreground discourse about theatre texts. In this research, 10 performances of the 21st century Latvian theatre have been analysed, where the theatre text has been created prior to the performance or during the staging process with or without the assistance of a playwright.
