Eponīmi latviešu valodā: lingvistiskais aspekts‘’

Abstract

Atslēgvārdi: onomastika, antroponīms, toponīms, apelativācija, eponīms Promocijas darbs ‘’Eponīmi latviešu valodā: lingvistiskais aspekts‘’ ir starpdisciplinārs pētījums līdz šim latviešu valodniecībā maz pētītā onomastikas apakšnozarē – eponīmikā. Darbs sastāv no teorētiskās daļas, kurā izvērtēti ārzemju un latviešu valodnieku pētījumu rezultāti, lietotā terminoloģija, terminu definīciju interpretācijas. Aktualizēta valodu kontaktu loma un lingvistiskā problemātika eponīmu izpētē un sistematizēšanā. Veikta eponīmu funkcionālā analīze un piedāvāts jauns eponīmu ģeogrāfiski (lingvistiski) tematiskās klasifikācijas variants. Praktisko daļu veido piemēru korpuss, kura neatņemama sastāvdaļa ir autores sastādītā un publicētā ‘’Eponīmu vārdnīca‘’(2007), pirmā šāda tipa vārdnīca latviešu leksikogrāfijā. Noslēgumā izdarīti secinājumi par eponīmijas lomu un nozīmi latviešu valodas leksiskajā sistēmā.

Key words: onomastics, antroponyms, toponyms, appellativization, eponyms The doctoral thesis Eponyms in the Latvian Language: linguistic aspect is an interdisciplinary research in eponymics, a subfield of onomastics, which has scantily been explored in Latvian linguistics so far. The theoretical part is focused on the research results of foreign and Latvian linguists, their applied terminology and the interpretations of terms’ definitions; the role of language contacts and linguistic problems connected with eponym classification. The author proposes a new variant of eponym geo-thematic classification and a functional analysis of eponyms. The practical part is built up by the corpus–Dictionary of Eponyms, compiled by the author, published in 2007, the first one of such a kind of dictionaries in the Latvian lexicography. The conclusion deals with the role and significance of eponymy in the Latvian lexical system.
