Darbs sastāv no 57 lpp., 3 tabulām, 10 attēliem, 4 pielikumiem, izmantoti 33 informācijas avoti. Atslēgvārdi: sociālās prasmes, muzikālās kustību rotaļas, bērnu attīstība. Author: Guna Knospiņa Bachelor Thesis: "Promotion of Social Skills in Musical Movement Games for 3-4-year-olds" Aim of the research: to explore theoretically and practically the use of musical movements in the promotion of social skills. Hypothesis: The development of the social skills of 3 to 4 year old children will be facilitated if: • the teacher will offer movement-based musical games based on the children's desire to be active; • children will be interested in participating in the play. The first part of the thesis analyzes and summarizes the scientific literature on the use of musical movement toys in the pedagogical process and their influence on the development of the social skills of 3-4 year old children. In the second part of the work, a practical study was carried out in the pedagogical process of promoting the development of the social skills of 3-4 year old children in musical movement games. The objective of the study was to use a method of pedagogical observation, more specifically open observation, which took place in a context where the teacher and the children were aware of the presence of a stranger. Musical movement games adapted to the development of social skills were also used, according to the age, individual characteristics and interests of the children. In the practical part of the research the characterization of the children of the research group was used at the beginning of the research; social skills indicators (using established criteria for assessing skills) at the beginning and end of the study. The results were presented in tables and figures. The hypothesis was confirmed by summarizing the literature of scientists analyzed in the theoretical research on the peculiarities of the development of 3-4 year old children and the possibilities to promote the development of social skills, as well as the results obtained during the practical work of the research. Thesis consists of 57 pages, 3 tables, 10 figures, 4 appendixes, 33 information sources. Keywords: social skills, musical movement games, child development.
